Burglaries & suspicious activity within the area

There has been a number in burglaries in South Trafford, including two break in’s in Bowdon WA14 and Hale Barns WA15 where unknown person(s) has entered through the rear forcing open a window on both occasions.

Again in Hale an unknown person has snapped a lock to gain entry to the property.

When to contact police?

On at least one occasion this week the burglary occurred between 9 and 11am – If you see any person on your neighbours property and you don’t believe that they are legitimate builders or gardeners, we encourage you to contact Police immediately, this is any time of the day;

If someone is wearing a face covering in someones garden we would like to speak to them whilst they are there and ask them to account for their presence.

Key prevention advice

Anti snap locks — Fit locks rated Sold Secure SS312 Diamond or 3 star Kitemark to resist snapping attacks.

Gate and access checks — Regularly inspect gates, side entries, and any weak points around your property.
