Parents and guardians are being urged to take advantage of a free car seat safety check event taking place tomorrow in Bradford.
The event is running from 10am to 3pm at the Tesco Superstore, Valley Road, Bradford, BD1 4AA on Thursday 14th May.
Recent check events have found that more than 60 per cent of child car seats were fitted incorrectly.
If the seats aren’t fitted properly it could result in reduced or no protection for children in the event of a crash.
Common issues include a slack seat belt, a loose base, the foot prop not being correctly adjusted, incorrect belt route and the carry handle being in wrong position.
At the event you will receive advice from a safety professional and where possible, any issues found will be corrected.
No appointment is necessary, just come along.
Free tyre safety checks will also be available at the event.
