Travelling season

It’s that time of year again when the Travelling season will mean we have unauthorised encampments arrive in our area, especially if the forecast nice weather arrives next weekend in the short term.

With this in mind would you kindly pass this on to the clubs in Cornwall, to remember

If an encampment does manage to gain entry to a sports ground, please report via 101 or if disorder is present call 999.

However, I recommend someone from the club to speak to the adults on site, remain calm and polite and inform them they do not have permission to stay (this will need to be followed up by a letter to each caravan to officially ask them to leave). If the grounds are leased from the Council, then they can give advice. Inform them of any events that are due and request they stay off the pitch etc, but most importantly, keep calm!
