Dozens of arrests as Operation Fearless hits the ground running.

Operation Fearless has hit the ground running on the Soho Road and Handsworth triangle – with significant arrests and a great response from the community.

More than 100 officers and colleagues from partner agencies officially launched Fearless on Wednesday to mark the start of their work to tackle the crimes that matter to the community.

While Wednesday was the official launch, the team has been working hard since the end of April and has now:

• Made 45 arrests for offences including drug supply, possession of knives, robbery and burglary.

• Charged suspects with drugs supply, thefts, burglaries, as well as returned six people to prison who were wanted for breaching the terms of their release.

• Carried out 36 stop and searches, with a high success rate which has led to the recovery of drugs and knives.

• Worked closely with Trading Standards colleagues, to seize illicit goods from mini-mart style shops on the High Street.

• Seized 14 vehicles
