OFF ROAD MOTORCYCLE ANNOYANCE GOWER COMMONS |
||
|
Hi Everyone Recently South Wales Police Public Service Centre took several calls from concerned residents in Gower in relation to two off road motorcycles being ridden on Cefn Bryn Common Gower. The reporting person also submitted photographs of the two riders .Myself and Pc Chadwick wanted to provide you with an update regarding this. As a result of the information provided, we have now identified one of the riders involved , he has since been spoken to and has been issued with a section 59 warning of the Police reform act 2002:- In the UK, Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 allows Police constables and Police Community Support Officers to issue a warning to individuals who are driving or riding off-road motorcycles in a manner that is considered antisocial. This warning is typically given after a first warning period of 12 months, during which the individual must stop their antisocial use of the vehicle. If the individual is warned again within this period, the vehicle may be seized. The warning applies to both the driver and the vehicle, meaning that if someone else drives the same vehicle in an antisocial manner, the same penalties apply. It is important for individuals to be aware of these regulations to avoid potential legal consequences. | ||
