This week is Operation Sceptre Week — a national campaign aimed at reducing knife crime and keeping our communities safe. The operation focuses on raising awareness of the dangers of carrying knives, engaging with local communities, and removing weapons from our streets through education and enforcement.

Today, PCSO Rawson and PCSO Furmidge will be at the Renishaw and Spinkhill Community Hall with the knife amnesty bin. This gives members of the public the opportunity to safely surrender any unwanted knives or bladed items so they can be disposed of responsibly.

If you have any unwanted knives at home, please take this opportunity to dispose of them safely and help make our communities safer for everyone.
