Acquisitive crime trend |

Good afternoon,
Over the last few months, there have been a number of incidents reported to Police Scotland regarding theft/attempted theft around the Hillpark area of Edinburgh. These include (but are not limited to) reports of housebreaking, thefts from garages and suspicious behaviour.
We encourage all residents to remain vigilant at all times, and if you see something that doesn't feel right - please report it. Ongoing incidents or reports of criminality should be reported via 999 in an emergency where there is a risk or threat to life, or via 101 in a non-emergency situation. Alternatively, reports can be made via the Contact Us form | Police Scotland.
Advice regarding this (and other) type of crime can be found on the Police Scotland website at this link: Break-in and housebreaking - Police Scotland.
If you are concerned about the security of your property and feel that you may benefit from additional crime prevention advice, please do not hesitate to contact me at EdinburghCPTNorthWest@scotland.police.uk.
Finally, can I please request that you share this information (and the Neighbourhood Alert system) with anyone you see fit as the greater the audience we can reach, the better. Sign-up can be done at this link: Sign-up for alerts | Neighbourhood Watch Scotland.
Kind regards, PC Gunderson | ||
