Witness appeal after Chiswell Green robbery |
||
|
Dear Resident, Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage after a robbery in Chiswell Green. Between 1pm and 1.53pm on Monday (18 May), two men reportedly entered the Foodfare convenience store on Watford Road. They demanded money, emptied the till and threatened a staff member with a knife. Thankfully no injuries were sustained. The suspects, who are described as two white men wearing masks and dark clothing, left the area in a black vehicle before travelling towards Tippendell Lane. Detective Constable Simon Day, from CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am asking anyone with information to please report it. “Due to the shop’s proximity with the M25 and M1 network, I am also appealing for anyone who was driving in the area at the time with a dash cam fitted to check whether they recorded any footage of the incident. “If you have any details, please email me via Simon.Day@herts.police.uk.” If you have any dash cam footage, please upload this via DAMS. You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting 41/45914/26. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
