Dear residents, Since March 2026, Northamptonshire Police have been working closely with North Northamptonshire Council and other partners as part of the Home Office Clear Hold Build approach in the Croyland area of Wellingborough. The project focuses on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, improving public spaces and building stronger relationships with local residents to create long‑term change. A dedicated Clear Hold Build team of five officers has been working alongside the local neighbourhood policing team, concentrating on the issues that mattered most to people living in the Croyland area. We would like to provide you with an update on recent activity: Since the beginning of March 2026, the Clear Hold Build team have been working to disrupt criminal activity. Officers have used stop and search powers on 44 occasions so far, resulting in 15 positive outcomes for drug offences. Enforcement activity has resulted in a total of 14 drug seizures, 14 arrests, and 26 charges, with eight individuals remanded in custody. The team has also issued one Acceptable Behaviour Contract (ABC) and one Community Protection Notice Warning.Officers have carried out over 200 hours of patrol in the area between March and April. The team has worked in partnership with North Northamptonshire Council, Re-solv, The Compound, Mind, S2S, and Neighbourhood Watch throughout this period, and collaborated on a partnership surgery with the Neighbourhood Beat Bus in May.Further partnership activity included an ‘environmental visual audit’ at Croyland Park, where crime prevention specialists conducted a walkabout of the area to identify locations at higher risk of crime or anti-social behaviour, and inform further prevention work. The Clear Hold Build team will liaise with North Northamptonshire Council about options for additional security measures to help improve safety in this area. The team has also worked with local primary schools, including Croyland Primary School, to design a logo for the Clear Hold Build project, helping to raise awareness of the project and encourage community involvement. Thank you to everyone who took part and congratulations to Poppy for her winning design!
