Local Priorities Shoplifting Message

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Shoplifting, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Yesterday while conducting Patrols around the Heston East Ward we came across a group of 3 People who had just committed Shoplifting at the local Asda Garage on Heston Road with a total value of £240 worth of products these people were stopped and questioned at the scene and arrested and have been charged. We want to remind people the importance of calling up the Police with any incidents you see when you are out Shopping the importance is time we get told about these attempts and if possible the direction of travel and any descriptions of persons so we can detain them as quick as possible.

Shoplifting is a crime that can have a substantial negative impact on local businesses across London. If you notice anything suspicious or witness anyone shoplifting, please report it as soon as possible. These reports are invaluable in letting us build a picture of when and where shop lifters operate, meaning we can be in the right place at the right time to arrest those responsible.
