Suspected Arson on Whitton Road

Yesterday,  the police were called to Whitton Road due to reports that a car had crashed into a property, and a fire had spread from the car to the building premises. 

Officers attended with the London Fire Brigade and firefighters extinguished the fire. There was damage to the property, but no injuries were reported.

We are treating this incident as suspected arson after our enquiries showed that the vehicle had been deliberately set alight by a suspect. 

No arrests have been made at this time, and extensive police enquiries continue.

At this stage, officers are not treating this as a hate crime and we do not believe there is a risk to the wider public. We are aware of the concern that the community will have following this incident, so we have increased police patrols in the area.
