Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling At 3.44pm on Wednesday 20 May in Alfreton Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a male trying a shed door on multiple occasions over the past two days. He also tried the front door and shed doors of a neighbour. Burglary Other At 1.31am on Wednesday 20 May in Beck Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of five male teenagers, all around 5-08”, medium build, wearing black clothing and black balaclavas, jumping over a fence from a new build construction site. They were carrying items that may have been tools. Theft of motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft Nothing to report Violence against person Around 4.40pm on Sunday 17 May in Ashfield Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a male on a mobility scooter threatened to hit the caller with a hammer, which was not seen. The caller has had issues with this male on previous occasions over the past year. Criminal Damage At 12.16am on Saturday16 May in The Twitchell, Sutton in Ashfield, house and car windows were smashed by two males wearing dark clothing riding a Surron bike. They rode off towards High Pavement. At 1.58pm on Sunday 17 May at the The Oval, Sutton in Ashfield a report that three white males, around 15 years of age, dressed in black clothing with their hoods up, kicking down a wooden fence to get to an abandoned Care Centre and then trying to open windows to get inside. At 6.03pm on Saturday 16 May at Willow Bridge Court, Willow Bridge Lane, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a female with two young children throwing bottles around in the communal area of a block of flats. They also kicked a football around the cars in the car park area. No damage was reported. ASB At 2.56pm on Sunday 17 May in Taylor’s Crescent, Sutton in Ashfield, a vulnerable resident with health problems was was being harassed by three teenage males, all dressed in black clothing. This is an ongoing issue. At 11.02pm on Sunday 17 May at the B & Q Warehouse in Mansfield Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of three or four vehicles being raced around the car park and revving their engines. The noise was disturbing guests sleeping at the nearby Travel Lodge Hotel. At 1.36am on Wednesday 20 May in Kings Mill Road East, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of two males setting off fireworks on a grass bank close to houses.
