Theft - Shoplifitng update

Whilst officers were on foot patrol on Ashford High Street on 19/05/26 a security guard flagged us down to inform us they had a male who was committing theft within Tesco. Police caught the male in the act, he was found with the stolen items on him and he was arrested. This male has since been charged, remanded and sent back to prison by the courts. 

Another male who has previously stolen £100 worth of items from Next, within the County Square was located on 21/05/26, arrested and he now awaits his day in court. 

Officers will continue to clamp down on theft shoplifting.
