We will be on the market place this morning 10 till 12 with our knife amnesty bin.
Knife amnesty bins provide a safe and anonymous way for people to surrender knives and help prevent violence and harm in our communities - this also prevents knives being disposed of incorrectly and then getting into the wrong hands.
If you have any unwanted knives and do not know how to dispose of them, you can pop along and drop them in the bin this morning, (no questions asked!).
The Ripley Safer Neighbourhood Team have been doing a lot of work and education around knife crime, including a talk to years 5 and 6 at Ripley Junior School and also a knife sweep with the cadets.
Whilst we do take part in the national fight against knife crime which runs for one week only, that doesn't mean it stops there - see below for our static bin locations:
