I wanted to provide you with an update regarding road safety concerns that members of the community within your area have highlighted through the local priority survey.
On Thursday 21st May, Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team Officer PC 473 Davies, alongside PC 264 Pilarz from the Ceredigion Roads Policing Unit (RPU), carried out a proactive road safety operation at various locations across the South Ceredigion policing area.
The operation focused on addressing community concerns surrounding road safety, driver behaviour, and the detection of road traffic offences. As a result of the activity, one driver was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs after providing a positive roadside drugs test.
Road safety remains one of our key policing priorities, and we will continue to conduct targeted enforcement and engagement activity to help keep our communities safe.
If there are specific road safety concerns within your local area, or locations you believe would benefit from further enforcement activity, please do not hesitate to contact us.
