Patrols and crime prevention

Dear all,

Today as the Acting Inspector for your area I am conducting cycle patrols.
It was very positively received by those shopping in the high street.

An alarm sounding at a home address resulted in climbing over the gate and seeing back windows open.

Thankfully it was found to be set off in error and crime prevention advice given.

Please ensure in the hot weather you and avoid leaving windows and doors open.

Consider removing vehicle keys from the house when you leave, this prevents vehicles being stolen with keys.
 

Thank you to eagle eyed members of the public who pointed out a suspicious male that I was able to eliminate from enquiries.

On patrols it was apparent lots of parcels are left on door steps.  Please consider having a box so that these are not obvious to passers by and always call 999 if someone is suspicious and looking into multiple driveways.
