COMMUNITY SCAM ALERT

Residents are advised that there has been a noticeable increase in activity from unknown individuals in the area, particularly around Tyne Close.

Reports include:

A woman loitering/sitting in the area for extended periods

A man going door‑to‑door offering driveway cleaning services

While these may appear harmless, such activity can sometimes be linked to scam attempts or individuals assessing properties, which can understandably cause concern—especially with windows open during the current hot weather.

Please take the following precautions:

Do not engage with unsolicited door‑to‑door traders

Avoid inviting unknown individuals onto your property

Keep doors and windows secure where possible

Report any suspicious behaviour to the appropriate authorities

The local team is aware of the situation and will be carrying out increased patrols in the area.

If you feel at risk or notice anything unusual, please report it via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
