Hello and welcome to this week’s policing update for Blakenhall!
At the start of our rest days, PCSO Travis visited Goldthorn Park Primary with assistance from PCSO Shinton in Partnerships to help launch a joint competition regarding Safer Parking, with the School, West Midlands Police and Wolverhampton City Council for Safer Parking. The competition is open to all years within the school, with the winning design being created into a sign for Ward Road, in a bid to improve the area at school drop off times.
PCSO’s have continued patrols on foot and in a vehicle, speaking to residents about staying safe during the heatwave.
Whilst on patrol on the Dudley Road, PCSO Travis had located a vehicle that was smoking from the engine bay. With a quick response, officers arrived to help with road closures and Fire colleagues arrived to extinguish the fire as it began to take hold of the vehicle. The occupants remained unharmed and the road was closed for a few hours whilst the vehicle was recovered. We thank all residents and businesses for their co-operation whilst we contained the area. This week, Officers arrested three males in Blakenhall for possession with intent to supply, and one male was arrested for failing to attend court.
Stay safe this coming week and during the current weather, and we shall see you next week.
