Broadstairs Police precense

Hello Residents 

I thought a message following the last week with some of the work we have done would be a sensible idea. It is not lost on me or anyone at Kent police what the town has had to experience this half term. Proactive action is being taken and will continue to take place throughout the summer. 

Today alone, 30/05, officers who were tasked with being present in Broadstairs issued five dispersals to persons causing ASB. Nine stop searches were conducted with 4 four community resolutions issued for drug related offences. Further an arrest was made for drug driving offences right outside Broadstairs train station. With alcohol seized from multiple persons.  

I hope those of you who visited the town today saw these officers, they have mentioned to me how welcoming everyone they spoke to were.
