Warning Issued to Nuisance Vehicle! |
A Section 59 warning has been issued to a vehicle which was causing anti-social behaviour at the Church Lane car park in Bearsted. It was reported to Police that the vehicle had been seen to do “doughnuts”, driving the car round in circles in the car park in the early hours of the morning.
A Section 59 warning is a formal notice issued under the Police Reform Act 2002. It is used where a motor vehicle is being used in a manner that is careless or inconsiderate and is causing alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public. The warning is recorded against both the driver and the vehicle and remains valid for 12 months, after which any repeat incident can result in the vehicle being seized by Police.
