My Weekend tackling ASB |
Resident
Over the course of the weekend, I conducted high-visibility patrols across my wards, addressing a range of ongoing issues. In Dunton Green, I attended the recreation ground on several occasions following reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB). I engaged with a number of youths present; no offences were identified, and they were simply enjoying the good weather. Words of advice were provided, and no further action was necessary. In Westerham, I assisted with enquiries relating to stolen machinery. Local checks and enquiries were completed in support of the investigation. During patrol, I attempted to stop a rider of a Surron-style electric bike, who made off from me. A search of the area was conducted; however, the rider was not located. In Chipstead, I attended the lakes and carried out an in-depth engagement with staff regarding ongoing ASB and trespassing by youths at the location. CCTV footage has been obtained and will be reviewed as part of an investigation. This will also be shared with local schools to assist in identifying those involved and preventing further incidents. I have also been working alongside Metropolitan Police colleagues regarding ongoing reports of vehicle racing at Hewitts Roundabout, gathering evidence to support enforcement and the ongoing PSPO in the area. Throughout the weekend, I dealt with a number of driving offences across my wards, including one driver observed using a mobile phone whilst driving, who was dealt with appropriately. Additionally, I provided support to other beat officers during their absence, covering their wards as required.
Myself and PC WATSON aim to try and tackle ASB in our ward before the summer. The more we know the more we can do
