🚨 Community Safety Alert – Vehicle Theft Prevention 🚨

We have recently seen an increase in reports of vehicle thefts and attempted break-ins across the area. We want to remind residents to take extra precautions to help protect their vehicles and belongings.

🔒 Top Safety Tips:

Always lock your vehicle – even if you’re only leaving it for a short time.

Remove valuables from sight, including bags, phones, and tools.

Do not leave keys or spare keys inside the vehicle.

Use additional security devices such as steering wheel locks or immobilisers where possible.

Park in well-lit areas or, if available, on driveways or in garages.

If your vehicle has keyless entry, consider using a signal-blocking pouch (Faraday pouch) to prevent relay theft.

Ensure your home is secure, as offenders often target houses to obtain vehicle keys.

👀 Be vigilant:

Report any suspicious activity, individuals trying car doors, or unknown persons loitering around parked vehicles.

📞 How to report: If you notice anything suspicious or have been a victim of vehicle crime, please contact Staffordshire Police on 101. In an emergency or if a crime is in progress, always dial 999.
