Shoplifting Operation Leads to TWO arrests.

London Fields Safer Neighbourhood Team have carried out a dedicated operation aimed at tackling shoplifting offences and supporting local businesses.

The proactive operation saw officers in the back room monitoring CCTV to identify offenders alerting plain-clothes officers deployed outside, monitoring any suspicious activity. 

Officers have worked closely with retailers, using UV marking pens to mark stock, helping identify stolen goods and link offenders to theft offences.

The operation delivered immediate results, with TWO arrests made in a single day for shoplifting and the recovery of £430 worth of stolen goods.
