We are currently investigating a reports of the theft from Motor Vehicle and Vehicle Interference (offenders trying car doors) in the area of Lime Tree Drive, Harwood. We are appealing for further information regarding this theft. Did you see anything suspicious around the time of the theft? Do you have any dashcam footage or CCTV footage that may capture the offence or anyone behaving suspiciously in the area around this time. Please consider reviewing any footage you may have in the area.
In the event you have any information or find any footage that you feel may be of interest to officers get in touch by replying to this message or emailing: 66033@gmp.police.uk with your name, telephone number or email address. We will then contact you to discuss.
In the event you have CCTV or Dashcam footage please preserve this footage by saving it or downloading it from the device and we will then be able to send you a link to upload the footage to our CCTV Portal.
Officers from the Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team, The Neighbourhood Policing Team and Forensic Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) are working hard to bring the offenders to justice and will be increasing activity and vigilance in the affected areas.
Please remember to ensure that vehicles are locked and secured when not attended and consider fitting secondary security devices such as immobilisers or steering wheel locks as well as removing valuables from vehicles when unattended.
We have a VERY small number of tamper-proof number plate fitting kits available – these kits include replacement screws that when used to hold numberplates on are difficult to remove and reduce the opportunity for theft. If you would like a set please reply to this message using the reply button with your name and address and I will drop you a set off while on patrol over the next 7-10days – subject to availability.
