Op Atal - Speeding in 20mph zones

Hello all,

Yesterday I assisted police and fire service colleagues to carry out Op Atal roadside speed awareness sessions. These took place at Plunch Lane and Higher Lane. 

Approx 200 vehicles were recorded on the speed gun, with 19 vehicles travelling in excess of the 20 mph limit. These vehicles were stopped and the driver given the opportunity to receive roadside training as an alternative to prosecution.

Further sessions will take place in the near future.
