Three people have been charged with a series of off-road bike offences following a targeted operation in the Lichfield area. Anthony Stokes, 19, of Lichfield, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention, driving while disqualified, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable. Jake Duce, 19, of Birstall, Leicester, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable. A 16-year-old boy, of Burntwood, cannot be named legally because of his age. He has been charged with driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and failing to stop a vehicle when required by a constable. It comes after local officers worked alongside the National Police Air Service (NPAS) and the road harm team (RHT) in an operation to target the use of off-road bikes at Chasewater and the wider Lichfield area on 23 May. Stokes and Duce are both due to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on 12 June, while the teenage boy is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 2 July. | ||
