Neighbourhood Update Hello Resident, I hope you are doing well. It’s PCSO Priest here with the weekly Neighbourhood update.
What has our team been doing? Officers of the Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have attended Holloway Hall for our monthly Cuppa with a Coppa Community event. Our officers were able to speak to those who attend and provide advice on any issues they may have. As well as crime prevention techniques to give reassurance and to help make their property more secure.
Our Bartley Green Neighbourhood team have been doing walk throughs throughout Bartley Green to try and tackle any Anti-Social Behaviour what are affecting residents within the blocks. What’s been occurring in Bartley Green Since the last WMNOW message, we have received three reports of motor vehicles being tampered with, within the area of Bartley Green. We advise you to take out any valuables to reduce the reward for those who could be trying to get in your vehicle. We also advise that you install CCTV cameras as this can help deter people from attempting to tamper with your vehicle, as this will increase the risk of them being identified.
Since the last WMNOW message, we have received three reports resident burglaries. We strongly advise you to install CCTV to record any offences and give officers a better chance of identifying the offender. We also advise you to install Anti-snap locks for any doors what are placed outside your home making it harder for any offenders to gain access to inside your home. We strongly advise that you check that your doors and windows are locked before you leave your home or before you go to bed, as for a majority of these residential burglaries, we see that offenders gain access due to unlocked doors and windows.
Additional Information We encourage residents to register their home/business CCTV and doorbell cameras, as this helps us to solve crimes and get a positive outcome, as your CCTV cameras can provide us the appropriate footage what captures the crime in question. This helps us solves crimes but also helps to keep your community safer. We are still experiencing an increase of demand from across the area over the last few weeks, with more people calling and asking for help. Our staff work extremely hard to answer and respond to your calls and live chats. But due to the high demand it can cause callers to have to wait longer than they should, what is something neither of us want at all. We prioritize your enquires/calls based on how urgent they are, but we always appreciate that you want help as soon as possible.
In Non-emergencies circumstances, we want you to get in contact with us through the live web chat, or the Non-emergency telephone 101. If your circumstances are emergencies, then please call 999. Bartley Green Neighbourhood Team. | ||
