CRIME update for May 2026 |

Dear Resident
Here is an update regarding Burglaries, Vehicle Crime and Criminal damage which occurred in the Sherwood Rise Police beat area during the month of May.
Burglaries residential = 2 03/05 Haydn Road – Airbnb property broken into, cash, key and GHD straighteners stolen. 21/05 Ebury Road – Male suspect has entered address taking cash from dining table before leaving the address.
Burglaries residential unconnected building = 1 04/05 Wimbledon Road – Suspect has gained entry 2x to garage between midnight and 8am, then again between 4pm and 10pm. A chainsaw, circular saw, hedge trimmer, garden trimmer and pressure washer stolen.
Criminal damage = 4 06/05 Ebury Road – Suspect has kicked door causing damaged having splintered but can be locked and closed. Between 30/04 and 08/05 Vivian Road – Unknown offender has thrown a corrosive liquid over vehicle causing burn marks all over the plastics and windows, parts of the paintwork have peeled off. Between 13/05 and 18/05 Claremont Road – Attempt break into building; this is evident as 5 windows have been smashed to commercial building with signs of rough sleeping in the rear garden.
Theft of motor vehicle = 2 11/05 Perry Road – Vehicle reported stolen. 26/05 Hucknall Road – CCTV footage shows at 6:19am, Yamaha motorbike being stolen by 2x male offenders wearing black and white tracksuits, both wearing full face masks.
Theft from vehicle = 2 21/05 Vivian Avenue – Attempt theft from vehicle. 26/05 Sherwood Rise – Wallet containing bank cards and driving license stolen.
