Junior Citizens 2026 (#2) |
||
|
Rick was back on Junior Citizens (JC) duty this week to help break down the law on knives (and other sharp objects) to local Year 6 children.
Fixed blades, the age of criminal responsibility and what to do if you're asked to carry a knife were among the topics, with the likes of the London Ambulance Service (LAS), Transport for London (TfL) and Trading Standards (p) also delivering their own 12-minute sessions.
Rick returns to JC next week for the final two days of the 3-week campaign to see which school will be crowned this year's champions (p).
"If it looks like a knife, it probably is a knife. If it looks sharp and stabby, don't take it with you. I don't know how many times I've said that in recent weeks, but hopefully it changes the mindset of the kids going up to Year 7. Their world is about to get a whole lot bigger." | ||
