Dear Resident,
Here is our weekly update from the Northfield Neighbourhood team.
Our Priorities
Retail Crime & High Street Safety: Addressing shoplifting and antisocial behaviour on Northfield High Street through partnership with the Northfield Business Improvement District (BID)
Targeting Drug Offences: Increasing patrols to address reports of drug use and dealing, with Operation Wayfarer focusing on disrupting these issues.
Begging and Street Population: Addressing issues around street begging, drug use and anti social behaviour in public spaces.
Crime Prevention & Youth Intervention: Focussing on reducing shop theft, providing early intervention and tackling organised crime in the Birmingham area
What’s been happening?
Streetwatch Patrols of Staple Lodge including the Rea Valley Park and Middlemore Road
Officer's were injured whilst carring out an arrest for an offender who had committed 22 offences.
A vehicle was seized for having no Tax, Mot and Insurance in the Northfield area.
A further 3 arrests have been made by our Officer's.
Good News
Our Officer's only received minor injuries and are back on the beat.
A stolen bike was returned to it's rightful owner by our PCSO'S.
Speed-watch will be coming to Northfield ward soon in attempts to tackle speeding in the area. Please feel free to comment any roads that you believe needs bringing to our attention in regards to speeding.
