We are appealing for information and CCTV after multiple reports of overnight vehicle interference were received by police from different locations across Kidderminster between 7th and 10th of June . Reports state this is happening between 21:00hrs and 5:55hrs and include attempts to gain entry and entry being gained then small change, clothing, a wallet, a computer monitor and bags being stolen. The offender has been described as a male wearing dark clothing using an e-bike or scooter.
An individual was arrested in the early hours of 10th of June in connection to one report vehicle interference, but investigations are still ongoing into others incidents.
We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to the theft of these items or that may have been in the area around the time of the incident and heard or seen anything suspicious. There are some simple but effective things you can do to help protect your property - where possible remove all valuable items from your vehicle before leaving it unattended. We are also encouraging the community to call us on 101 if they see anyone acting suspiciously around a vehicle. If you have information about this or any other suspected crime, please let us know using the online ‘Tell Us About’ form on our website www.westmercia.police.uk. If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org If you ever feel at risk, or a crime is in progress, please always dial 999.
Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime. Kind regards,
