Safe Neighbourhood Action - Speeding

Dear NHM users,

Last month officers from the Rural North Safer Neighbourhoods Team completed 2 Speed enforcement operations and 3 Speed surveys in the Whittington Parish. As a result of the enforcement operations 11 vehicles were recorded as exceeding the speed limit and were reported for prosecution.

These prosecutions can result in the driver of the vehicle being issued, a drivers awareness course, 3 points endorsed to their licence and a fine, or if the speed was excessive enough, summoned to Magistrates court. 

Speeding is a local Parish Council priority and is actively being addressed by the Safer Neighbourhood Team using educational (speed surveys) and proactive (speed enforcement) measures.
