Today, your local Neighbourhood Policing Team has been out in Bredbury as part of a focused Day of Action aimed at tackling the issues that matter most to our community.

Positive results from today include:

A prolific shoplifter has been arrested and charged in connection with two recent thefts from local businesses. He is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court in September.

High-visibility patrols were carried out on Osborne Street, Annabelle Road, and Shakespeare Road, in response to concerns about off-road bikes.

Officers gathered intelligence relating to a suspected uninsured driver.

A number of vehicles were stopped and checked to ensure drivers were properly insured and compliant.

A Domestic Abuse Protection Order was successfully served, helping safeguard a vulnerable individual.
