Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling At 8.15am on Tuesday 9 June in Jephson Road, Sutton in Ashfield, two males in Hi-Vis vests, claiming to be from the council knocked on a door and said they needed to do an inspection. The house owner let them in although they had no I.D. Both males were white and had accents that may have been Polish and were wearing blue gloves.. Descriptions- first male, 5-11”, 20/25 years old, dark brown hair, black top and black trousers. Second male, 5-04”, average build, 18/25 years old, dark blond hair, black top and black trousers. After they left it was noticed that the house keys had been stolen. Burglary Other Nothing to report Theft of motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft Between 11.45am and 5.00pm on Monday 8 June in Institute Street, Stanton Hill, Sutton in Ashfield, a parcel delivery left outside a front door was stolen. Robbery Around 10.25pm on Tuesday 9 June at the Texaco Eastfield Service Station, Eastfield Side, Sutton in Ashfield, a white male, 5-10”, late 20’s early 30’s, wearing dark clothing and a black balaclava and carrying a hammer demanded that money was handed over. He smashed the till and took money and three packets of cigarettes before running off. Violence against person Around 6.00pm on Saturday 6 June in the Town Square, Sutton in Ashfield, a male, 6-00”, bald headed, wearing a blue jumper assaulted a second male near the sundial area. Between 12.30am and 1.00am on Saturday 6 June in Low Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a male was assaulted outside the Nags Head Public House. The attacker mistakenly thought an argument was in progress between the victim and his partner and intervened by throwing a bottle at the man. The attacker was a white male, mid 20’s, slim build, blond hair, wearing a metallic blue bomber jacket. Criminal Damage Nothing to report At 11.18am on Thursday 4 June in Dobsons Mews, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of on going issues with children’s behaviour on the street. Today a child around 7 years old came onto a driveway and picked up a bottle of cleaning fluid from outside the front door and poured it onto the bonnet of a car. On the previous day a child had tried to pour a liquid cleaner into the charging point on a car.
