Longbridge Retail Park- Plain Clothes Operation

Dear Resident,

Officers from our Neighbourhood Team have been conducting a plain clothes operation within Longbridge Retail Park, targeting known offenders and also opportunistic offenders.

Officers spotted two youths acting suspiciously while entering the Greggs store. The youths then ran out of the store carrying stolen items. 

They were chased and detained by the plain clothed officers. 

Rather than arrest, officers dealt with the offence through the means of a community resolution with the knowledge and agreement of their Parents who fully supported this. 

Both were subsequently issued with a ban from the Longbridge Retail Site and their schools informed.
