Shoplifting |
||
|
Shoplifting continues to be a growing concern across our area, affecting both major retailers and small local businesses. These offences don’t just harm shop owners — they push up prices for the honest members of our community who pay for their items. Kent Police remain committed to tackling this behaviour and protecting our high streets. Today, while carrying out our usual patrols, officers located a male who was already wanted for several shoplifting offences in the Westbrook and Garlinge areas. He was arrested and further checks confirmed he had also failed to attend court and had additional warrants outstanding. This type of offending has a real impact on local shops, staff, and residents. We will continue to identify and pursue those who cause harm and disruption in our community. How you can help keep our shops and community safeYour information and vigilance make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who continues to report concerns and support our efforts to keep the area safe.
