Good morning Residents / Bore da Pawb
Recently we have been inundated with complaints relating to inconsiderate parking throughout Dunvant and Killay.
Images have been forwarded to us. These clearly display vehicle registrations, poor parking, blocking driveways, pavements, pedestrian access, endangering the safety of children, people with disabilities and push chair users.
The owners of these vehicles have been advised appropriately. No action will be taken on this occasion but if seen committing the offence in the future, you may be reported for prosecution. I will be patrolling these specific areas and will be placing warning notices on any vehicle that is parked in an inconsiderate manner.
Whist we continue to do our best to serve the public, parking issues are ongoing, especially around school areas, during pick-ups and drop offs and managing these locations at the same time daily, can have an impact on resources.
If you must park partially on a pavement, please leave adequate room for pedestrians, a pram, or a mobility scooter/ wheelchair.
Parking on yellow lines should be reported to the local authority.
Please remember that whilst I appreciate your messages, all reports should be made via 101 This can be done online via our website, should you experience a wait to get through to our control room.
PLEASE PARK RESPONSIBLY PARCIWCH YN GYFRIOL OS GWELCH YN DDA
Have a safe and happy weekend Diolch, Mel
