❗ Mobile Phone Theft is on the Rise
Thieves target phones because they are valuable, easy to grab, and quick to resell.
⚠️ Common Theft Situations
🚶♂️ Walking while using your phone
🚇 Busy public transport areas
🚗 Phone snatched from hands or car windows
🪑 Phones left unattended in cafés or public places
✅ How to Protect Yourself
🔒 Be Alert – Stay aware of your surroundings
📵 Keep It Hidden – Avoid using your phone in crowded places
🎒 Secure Your Bag – Use zipped pockets
📍 Enable Tracking – Turn on Find My Phone / GPS tracking
🔑 Use Strong Locks – PIN, fingerprint, or face ID
☁️ Back Up Data – Keep your information safe
🚫 If Your Phone Is Stolen
📞 Report to your network immediately
🚔 Report the theft to the police
🔐 Block your device (IMEI)
💳 Cancel mobile payments or banking apps
📡 Track or remotely wipe your phone
