Weekly update from the South Yardley Neighbourhood policing team. |

Dear Members, Here’s a quick round up from the South Yardley neighbourhood policing team. We assisted with prays in the park for Eid on 27th May and this was a lovely sunny day. We do hope everyone had a lovely day and week celebrating with family and friends. The decision has been made for Neighbourhoods to assist with Response demand. We know this will have an impact on the community with not seeing us due to the demand we are currently facing. The team are currently trying to squeeze in community requests in between jobs. We do ask during this time the community bear with us as we are doing all we can to tackle the issues in the area as well as assisting colleagues with live incidents. However, we have been able to put on a small community event in Small Heath Park involving ourselves and St Joh ambulance offering CPR lessons to all ages. Ourselves assisted with litter picking and allowing the community to obtain crime prevention, sit in the vehicle and wear some of our uniform. The parking tickets continue, the total so far for the last 2 weeks has been 35 and we know in the coming weeks we will have much more as we target harden in the area. 8 vehicles have been seized for no tax. We have since been arresting, identifying offenders within the local areas for offences causing harm to our local businesses. This has resulted into successful outcomes and processes. We will have more events upcoming in the coming days involving key partners and our specialised units to assist in target harden with vehicle related crimes, including other concerns in the area.
We will continue to keep you updated on more successful results we have upcoming soon!
