Community Crime-Fighting - Camden Town Ward |
||
|
Dear All,
Local community policing is a huge priority for us in the Met and is the bedrock of how we police London. Over the last year, we have seen the results of that, with strong reductions across the city in crimes like robbery, bike theft and burglary.
As your local Neighbourhood Superintendent, I thought it was a good opportunity to let you know the sorts of things your neighbourhood policing team will be up to this week: Targeted patrols in our known hotspot areas across Camden Town Ward to provide a visible presence and tackle crime. Joint work with our Camden Town Centre Team’s, working with a drug dog to tackle drug in Camden Town.
These are just some of the things we will be doing this week, but they are examples of the work we do every day. Your neighbourhood team is embedded in your community and works hard each day to keep you safe. The range of issues they deal with is vast, from theft offences to serious violence. They operate alongside ‘response teams’, who are the officers who attend emergencies if you dial 999.
Thank you for staying in touch with us on Met Engage. We are here to help you, if there are issues that you think need to be addressed, please let us know by conducting your local ward team via Met Engage.
Kind Regards, Superintendent Matt Cox | ||
