Community Alert: Rogue Traders in Wincheap

Dear Resident

We’ve recently had reports of suspected rogue traders operating in the Wincheap area.

Last week, I stopped two suspicious males handing out leaflets advertising tree work locally. In addition, we’ve had a report of a cold caller going door-to-door offering roofing work.

While not all doorstep traders are dishonest, this type of activity is commonly linked to scams and poor-quality or unnecessary work, so please remain cautious.

I will be aiming to be as visible as possible in the area during daylight hours and will stop and speak to any suspicious persons.
