Community Update: Police Activity in the Area |
||
|
Dear Residents,
We would like to inform you of recent police activity that took place in the local area.
Last week, while conducting reassurance patrols in the Mottingham area, local officers observed two males outside a vehicle who were suspected of involvement in drug-dealing activity. Upon noticing the officers, both males fled in different directions.
PC Thorpe pursued one of the males and successfully detained him. Additional response officers were deployed to the area, and the second male was pursued by PC Cranston and subsequently detained.
Both males were arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. A search of the vehicle believed to be linked to the suspected drug-dealing activity resulted in the seizure of controlled drugs and other items of evidential value.
Both suspects have since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
This action demonstrates our ongoing commitment to tackling drug-related crime and keeping our communities safe. We would like to thank residents for their continued support and encourage anyone with information about crime or anti-social behaviour to report it to the police.
If you witness suspicious behaviour or have information that may assist local policing teams, please contact police on 101 or 999 in an emergency. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
Thank you for your continued support.
