We’ve seen how simple steps can make a big difference in preventing burglary. Please take a moment to review these key tips:

🔒 Secure Your Home

Always lock doors and windows, even when you’re at home or in the garden

Use deadlocks and ensure UPVC doors are properly secured

Don’t leave keys in locks or within reach of letterboxes

💡 Make Your Property Look Occupied

Use timer switches for lights when you’re out

Avoid advertising holidays on social media until you return

Ask a neighbour to collect post or open/close curtains

📦 Be Mindful of Deliveries

Avoid leaving parcels in plain sight or on doorsteps

Consider secure delivery options or a trusted neighbour

📹 Improve Visibility & Surveillance

Install motion-sensor lighting at entrances

Consider CCTV or doorbell cameras

👀 Look Out for Suspicious Activity

Report unknown individuals hanging around homes or trying door handles

Trust your instincts — if something feels off, report it
