UNINSURED VEHICLE LOCATED AND SEIZED.

Dear residents.

Over recent days, local residents have repeatedly reported a particular vehicle being driven around the Saddleworth area without insurance. Thanks to your information and continued vigilance, I have now located and seized this vehicle under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. The vehicle was located unattended with an extremely hot engine, adding to the evidence that it had recently been driven. 

This action was taken directly as a result of the reports and intelligence provided by members of the public. 

As the Neighbourhood Sergeant for Saddleworth & Lees, I acted on that information to ensure the vehicle was removed from the road; enquires are still ongoing in respect of the suspected driver. 

This is a great example of “You said, we did” in action. Your reports genuinely make a difference and help us keep our roads and community safer.
