Another Sucessfull Traffic Operation |
||
|
You may have seen officers conducting a proactive traffic operation on Halifax Road involving P1 and P2 neighbourhood officers.
During the operation, a number of offences were identified including speeding and no seatbelt offences.
One vehicle was stopped and checks revealed, of concern, that it had no valid MOT since October 2025. The vehicle was subsequently seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and recovered to a secure compound. The driver was issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) for the relevant offence.
Driving without a valid MOT can result in a £100 fixed penalty notice, rising to a maximum fine of £1,000 if prosecuted at court.
We will continue to carry out regular spot checks in the area to improve road safety and address ongoing concerns.
