Out in the Heat , looking after our community

Today PCSO 7016EA & 7045EA were out on patrol when they spotted an elderly resident who had collapsed. The carer was struggling to help, so our officers ran over straight away reassured the resident, who was feeling weak from the heat while waiting for their ride, and helped them safely into the car.  Please look out for each other this week.

 A few heat safety reminders:Make sure you are drinking water regularly, wearing a sun hat and light clothing, and trying to stay indoors between 11am and 3pm if you can. Please take a moment to check on any elderly neighbours or relatives, and never leave children or pets in a parked car. If someone is unwell, call 999 in an emergency.
