A252 Speed Check's Completed

Dear Residents,

This morning, myself and another colleague from Ashford Beat Team conducted speed checks along the A252 in two seperate locations - these being Chilham and Molash. We were pleased to see motorists abiding by the highway code. One speeding ticket was issued to a motorist who was travelling at excessive speed in a 40mph zone. He was reported for summons off the back of this stop.

I am keen to keep on top of Road Safety matters, particularly along the A252 and A251 as we enter the summer period, with days being longer and more people on the roads. We are committed as a department to tackling your key priorities, one of these being Road Safety Matters. More speed check's and days of action are planned across the coming weeks.
