The ‘Keep the Door Open’ campaign is running across West Yorkshire, aimed at young people and highlighting the risks and longer-term impact of carrying a knife. It focuses on how one decision can affect future opportunities such as education, employment and relationships. The campaign uses a music video created with Leeds-based artist Nigel Ngwenya to reach younger audiences and support conversations about knife crime. It forms part of wider work taking place across the region to tackle serious violence and support safer communities. Communities can support the campaign by sharing the message locally and encouraging young people to consider the impact of their choices.
