Violence against shop workers

On Tuesday 16/06/2026 in the afternoon.

Staff from Sports direct stopped a shoplifting from occurring, and whilst retrieving goods one of their staff members was assaulted by the offender.

CCTV has been retrieved and offender has been Identified so an arrest is imminent.

As a Police service we don't tolerate any type of violence or aggression directed at our shopworkers and we will bring those responsible to justice.
