No insurance? No van!
Yesterday, Officers from your local Safer Neighbourhood Team were on mobile patrol through the Matlock area when they noticed a van being driven that appeared to be overly weighted on one side. Officers conducted a couple quick checks with the driver and discovered that he was driving with no insurance.
The driver was under the impression that their policy covered driving other vehicles, however after a quick check that proved to not be the case. We would urge all drivers that if you're unsure your policy covers other vehicle, to please check your policy! Better safe than sorry.
The van was seized and removed by Officers.
